If you search on Google you will find that there are countless opportunities to make money online. Although this offers diversity and choice to the would-be e-entrepreneur it can also be very confusing for someone who is new to internet marketing, who may not know which opportunities are genuine and which ones are scams

Many people when they are starting out on the internet, would be glad of someone to hold their hand and lead them through the maze. This of course isn’t always easy to find.
Get rich quick opportunities are probably the ones that most people fall for. They have a way of sounding very appealing even though they may also sound too good to be true. Unfortunately most opportunities that promises that you will get “rich quick” are more than likely to be “scams”. There are many stories about overnight successes and how a one time drop out is now a millionaire, but what they fail to tell you about is the months of hard work leading up to what appears to be an overnight success. They are also very linkely to only tell you a little of what you need to know leaving you to struggle to find out the rest over the next year or so. The fact is they don’t really want you to know their secret of how to make money online
Any work from home opportunity needs to be well researched, particulary if it is on the internet. Find out about the company who owns the business opportunity. How long have they been in business? What is their financial background? Is the company set up in a legitimate way? Many MLM companies, for instance, are not set up in a way that helps their distributors to make money online and may even be classed as pyramid schemes- so you need to be aware of this. It is relatively easy to find this information on the internet and the hours spent researching will be well worth the time if it enables you to successfully avoid the scams and find the genuine ways to make money online
Some years ago somebody said to me “If it looks too good to be true it probably is”. Finding a genuine way to make money online can be a difficult task. Finding someone you are sure you can trust to give you honest advice is not an easy thing to do and unfortunately some of the lessons will inevitably be learnt the hard way
If, after your research, you still choose to attempt to make money online then you can build up your home based business on a part time basis first, before attempting to make it a full time option. It can be very tempting to leave your full time paid employment but you need to be sure that working from home is for you and secondly whether you can make enough money to replace your full time salary
Like all new ventures you will have to be prepared to work long hours for little monetary gain. The choice to make money online requires dedication and self motivation. It is not for the feint hearted, but building a home based business can be an extremely rewarding and worth while experience if you put the time and effort in to make it a success
Remember that initially 95% who have a home based online business will fail. Of the remaining 5% many will give up after the first year. If you want to be one of the small minority who successfully make money online then you really do have to keep trying.
